Email in a bilingual land: evidence that language of choice is more effective

No one speaks bilingual and they'd prefer not to read in email either. Language-of-choice emails got a 20 or 21 per cent higher open rate and a 16 per cent higher click rate than bilingual messages with the same content. They're more likely to be forwarded and less likely to be the subject of a spam complaint. August 30, 2010 01:32 PM

New site: At the Altar of the Bottom Line

I'm pleased to announce the launch of a new site: altarofthebottomline.com. The site promotes At the Altar of the Bottom Line, a book and CD workplace ethnography project by Tom Juravich that chronicles work in the George Bush era. March 6, 2010 03:02 PM

Interarchy 9: please tell me I have a copy of 8.5 around somewhere

I have been using this file transfer client since it was in version 1.x. The latest re-release is a total disaster. It's just wasted an hour of my life. Don't install it, whatever you do. At least not until this purported 9.01 gets released. January 15, 2008 10:20 AM

Tangled in Our Dreams/Teresa Healy

I've put together a website for Ottawa singer-songwriter Teresa Healy and her musical and life partner Tom Juravich for their recently-launched CD, Tangled in Our Dreams. January 30, 2007 09:27 PM

Flower one - purely decorative Flower two - more eye candy Sigh. Flower three. Nothing to do here folks All these PNGs sure are good to have, eh? Now that MSIE might soon understand them
How much eye candy can one page endure
